Like many collectors, Anin’s horological story began with necessity rather than luxury. Early in his corporate career, he wore a gray-and-blue G-Shock DW-6900 with subtle orange accents to work. Paired with formal suits, the digital tool watch caught the eye of his manager, who gently pointed out the stylistic mismatch while wearing a classic Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch.
That conversation—combined with invitations to Omega brand events and encounters with industry peers—ignited Anin’s curiosity regarding the storytelling power of watches. He began his journey modestly with microbrands (such as Triwa) and a pair of matching Braun chronographs for his wedding, honoring the industrial design ethos of Dieter Rams. Later, during the pandemic, deep reading and movement research solidified his appreciation for mechanical watchmaking.

Autodromo Group B Series 3 "Night Stage"
he Design Appeal: Drawn to founder Bradley Price’s background as a fellow industrial designer, Anin points out that Autodromo doesn't merely copy automotive speedometers onto a dial. Instead, it captures the ethos of 1980s rally racing.
Material & Construction: Featuring a lightweight bimetallic construction—a titanium capsule housed within a stainless steel chassis—paired with an integrated bracelet and a subtle grid dial with aged pinkish-red accents.
The HNMD Bespoke Connection: Dissatisfied with standard straps that failed to match the notched lug architecture, Anin challenged HNMD to craft a custom leather strap with precise ribbing near the lugs. His exacting specifications helped push HNMD to develop new bespoke capabilities.
Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope
A Milestone Piece: Purchased to celebrate his fifth year at his company, the Chronoscope represents an intentional departure from traditional Moonwatches.
Visual Subtlety: Featuring a silver dial with intricate snail scales (telemetre, tachymeter, and pulsometer), the watch presents numerals that appear black head-on but reveal a brilliant heated-blue hue when rotated under light.
Functionality: Anin highlights the independent jumping hour hand—a feature powered by its manual-wind Co-Axial movement—which allows him to adjust time zones while traveling without stopping the running seconds.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso (Classique Single-Face)
Geometric Perfection: Anin admires the Reverso not just for its Polo heritage, but for its adherence to the Golden Ratio (1.618) and classic Art Deco proportions
Emotional Utility: When spending quality time with family or clients, Anin flips the steel case around to hide the dial. By transforming the watch into a sleek steel bangle, he deliberately removes the anxiety of checking the time. He plans to engrave the solid caseback before eventually passing it down to his children.
